About the Fitch House

The Fitch House in Calais, Vermont is an entire home vacation rental and guest house that provides lodging for overnight stays. This 19th century farmhouse built in 1858 provides a Bed and Breakfast-like experience on the doorstep of Vermont history and the outdoors. Located in Central Vermont, north of Montpelier, in the historic district at Kents Corner, it is on 160 acres of fields and woods for you to explore.

Our parents and grandparents farmed this land and lived in this house. We are the third generation to own the property, and we are pleased to share it with you. We have opened the house for vacation rentals with some modern upgrades and total privacy for your family or group. There is a large kitchen with all the dinnerware needed to host a festive holiday or celebration, a formal dining room, a sunny kitchen dining nook, and a summer room with a large dining table and additional comfortable seasonal living room.

The Fitch House offers four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. The living rooms have comfortable couches and chairs. There is Wifi, and a Smart TV in the living room. In the summer, the seasonal dining and living room has French doors that open out to the yard and gazebo.

We invite you to come enjoy this special place!
